Communications for impact-driven work
Hi, I’m Meghan, a communications specialist and writer working in English and French with mission-driven nonprofits, NGOs, lifestyle brands, and creatives. Based on the Landes coast, France.
I lead with curiosity, because I believe how we talk about our work decides whether people connect to it.

About Me
I've spent the last decade in communications and international development, from reproductive health campaigns and grant writing in Dakar to community investment in Philadelphia. I'm at my best with complicated material: a sprawling program, a technical mission, a difficult topic that crosses cultural and political lines.
I've always had a habit of looking beneath the surface, and curiosity has been the thread through all of my work. Whether I was in West Africa interviewing midwives and doctors on the frontlines of abortion access, sitting down with childcare providers in the US to learn what drives their commitment to their communities, or talking with surfers creating change where governments have fallen short, I've learned that the story is always there. The best ones usually start with a question nobody has asked yet.
When we're closest to the work, we understand our missions deeply, but putting our passion into words, or finding the stories that help others connect, isn't always easy. Drawing those stories out is the part of the work I love most.
I'm also a surfer, and I've lived and worked in surf communities in the US, Senegal, and now France. Moving between places has taught me to listen first and to center the people closest to a story. It's also made me passionate about exploring where surfing and development meet, a subject I write about often.
Currently, I'm based in France with my husband and our one-year-old daughter.
I take on freelance writing and communications work in English and French.
